Restoring Vision with Helping Hands Kenya in 2025

Expanding access to cataract surgeries, paediatric eye care, vision screening, and rehabilitation services to prevent avoidable blindness across Kenya.

Helping Hands Kenya works to eliminate avoidable blindness by improving access to quality eye care for underserved communities across Kenya. Through cataract surgeries, paediatric eye care, vision screening camps, and rehabilitation services, the organization helps restore sight, enhance independence, and improve quality of life.

  • To strengthen rehabilitation services, Joy of Helping supported the distribution of 15,000 white canes for visually impaired individuals across Kenya, enabling greater mobility, confidence, and independence in their daily lives.
  • The partnership also supported free eye screening camps and paediatric eye care services in collaboration with local hospitals, helping ensure early diagnosis, timely treatment, and improved access to quality eye care for children and adults alike.
