We have observed that individuals – destitute, nauseated, and left alone by their family members – are forced to beg or be heavily dependent on the mercy of others to survive. There were couples and individuals we witnessed who did not have any children of their own, or the children deserted them. Such individuals do not have any physical capacity to earn on their own. VSSM, understanding the needs of such individuals, helps them by providing a monthly Ration Kit to improve their lives. VSSM also provides cooked meals for those who cannot cook the food. The individuals are linked with various government welfare schemes over and above the Food Grains support the VSSM provides to ensure their overall well-being.
