The Power of Partnerships in Creating Change

From believing to bringing real change

Since 1984, Joy of Helping, a non profit organisation, has developed and delivered impactful and sustainable solutions at the community level, applying local experience and dedication to meet the needs of vulnerable and underserved communities. Through joint forces with driven local partners, we ensure that every step, every initiative, every action taken from healthcare to education, reflects deeply within the communities we facilitate, creating lasting change and transformation.

Since 2003, the Bhojay Sarvodaya Trust in Kutch, India, is one of our strongest partnerships,  we’ve supported gynecological camps. These camps resolve significant gaps in healthcare domain for rural women, lacking accessibility to basic medical facilities. By working together, we’ve facilitated 850 life-changing surgeries, tackling conditions like prolapsed uteri and fibroids that women had suffered in silence. The trust’s deep community relationships and medical expertise, merged with our monetary and organizational support, have empowered every women be it with mothers, sisters, who regained their health and livelihood after surgeries. This partnership symbolises how co-ordinating with local NGOs enables us to offer targeted, culturally sensitive campaigns.

One more impactful partnership is with the Child Welfare Trust (CWT) in Bhuj, formed in response to the 2001 earthquake. Together, we built school for children with disabilities, local knowledge ensured the facility met the community’s specific needs, while our funding and donor engagement sustained its growth. The “Made By Special” vocational program, supported by Joy of Helping, equips these students with skills and expertise enabling and empowering them with self-reliant and dignified living.

Our partnership with VSSM ( Vicharta Samuday Samarthan Manch ) a non-profit organization in Bihar, proved the flexibility and adaptability of community-based alliances, during the COVID-19 pandemic. With distribution of monthly ration kits to 100 elderly individuals and allocating bi-monthly healthcare services, we tackled immediate food scarcity and health needs in Bihta Blocks. VSSM’s local presence allowed us to manage logistical challenges, ensuring aid reached the most vulnerable. Such efforts highlights the functionality of localized partnerships in times of emergency.

As we prioritise trust, transparency and shared objectives, these collaborations succeed. On our website, we precisely select NGOs that maintain complete transparency and align with our mission and vision to empower marginalized communities. We ensure that our work remains human-centric by encouraging personal connections through donor visits and face-to-face engagement with beneficiaries.

Within our vision and partnerships we have clarity and by merging local knowledge with strategic planning, NGOs increases significantly with a growing impact. Across education, healthcare, and disaster relief initiatives, these partnerships have enabled us to support over 10,000 individuals. Our partners and Joy of Helping, Together, continues to create a world where respect, dignity, and opportunity are within everyone’s reach.
